Dr. CHRISTOPHER L IHLE
 Dr.
Ihle is a native Nebraskan, born and raised in Norfolk, Nebraska. He attended the
University of Nebraska at Lincoln for his pre-med studies
and was accepted to the University of Nebraska College
of Medicine after three years of college. After completing
medical school, Dr. Ihle attended the prestigious Campbell
Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee where he did his five year
orthopaedic residency. Upon completing his orthopaedic
residency, Dr. Ihle did a fellowship in knee reconstruction
and sports medicine under Dr. Douglas W. Jackson in Long
Beach, California at the Southern California Center for
Sports Medicine. Dr. Ihle was in private practice
at the bone and Joint Clinic in Franklin, Tennessee for
five years before returning home to Nebraska to found the
Heartland Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic in
1991.
Dr. Ihle is a board certified
orthopaedic surgeon, a Diplomate of the American Board of
Orthopaedic Surgery, NS and a Fellow of the American Association
of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an active member of
the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. Dr.
Ihle is also an active member of the American Orthopaedic
Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Ihle's special interest
lies in treatment of problems related to the shoulder, knee
and foot as well as sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery.
When
not at the office, Dr. Ihle is involved with his family
and enjoys outside sports including snow skiing, white
water rafting, deep sea fishing and cycling. He is an active member
of the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Omaha where he
serves on the Missions Committee. Dr Ihle's favorite
saying is, " A surgeon will connect 'A' to 'B' but
only God can heal." |
